Tales From Cushman Row
Release Date: December 12, 2017
If you have read An Exaltation of Larks and A Charm of Finches, then you know how addictive Suanne Laqueur’s writing is, just as you know how addictive her characters are. WIth this novella, she gives you a series of glimpses into Jav and Stef, as well as other characters you’ve come to adore (hey, Roman!).
The other thing Laqueru gives you is some context. She discusses scenes left on the cutting room floor, scenes she couldn’t make work in the book, and shows you glimpses into her writing and editing process. I think that’s my favorite part of the book.
As for the stories themselves, Laqueur tells you straight up that there is a lot of sex in this slender tome, and she is right. But it’s great esx. It’s HOT sex. It’s Jav and Stef, and they are glorious.
Don’t read this until you’ve read Larks and Finches. Then treat yourself to a check-in of sorts with Jav and Stef, and enjoy these moments with them.
“Come here, you moron.”
For fans of the Venery series, author Suanne Laqueur offers a compendium of love scenes—unpublished chapters, character sketches and assorted reflections about Javier Landes and Steffen Finch. A treat to skim through, skip around and linger over at leisure. Like caviar.
For people who like this sort of thing, this is the sort of thing they will like. Contains adults in adult situations using adult language and a f**k-ton of gratuitous boning. No socks required. Batteries sold separately.
“Why do I like when you call me a moron,” Jav said.
Stef smiled. “Because the moron in me recognizes the moron in you.”
